SAPD seeks shooting suspect

24-year-old woman shot in leg


SAN ANTONIO – Police are searching for a man who opened fired on a woman as she walked down the street on the city's South Side Wednesday evening.

The shooting happened in the 300 block of East Pyron Avenue just after 5 p.m.

According to police, a 24-year-old woman was walking with a male friend when another man pulled up and fired two shots at them, hitting the woman in the right leg.

Investigators believe there is a relationship between the three people.

The woman was taken to the San Antonio Military Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witness said the suspect drove off in a gray vehicle.
