Second suspect arrested in slaying of man shot through window

Porfirio Elguezabal charged in death of Dominic Spiller

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in May.

Porfirio Elguezabal, 27, is charged with murder in the death of 40-year-old Dominic Spiller.

Elguezabal's arrest is the second arrest this week in connection with Spiller's slaying.

On Tuesday, police also arrested 24-year-old Jose Carrizales.

Spiller was found dead inside his apartment in the 3800 block of West Avenue on May 24.

Investigators said Carrizales went to Spiller's residence and shot him through a window.

SAPD investigators believe the death was related to a domestic disturbance between Spiller and a woman who had some kind of a relationship to Carrizales but the nature of that relationship is unknown.

A police report states in the days leading up to the shooting, a call was made from Spiller's residence reporting a domestic disturbance between Spiller and the mother of his child.
