Doctor injured in I-10 crash

Vehicle skid 40 feet on its roof after flipping over

SAN ANTONIO – A doctor suffered a cut to the head after crashing his car early Monday morning on his way home from the hospital

Police said the accident was reported around 12:30 a.m. The doctor was exiting off I-10 at Fredericksburg Road when he saw something on the road.

He swerved to avoid it and lost control before crashing into the embankment, police said.

The impact caused the car to flip onto its roof and skid across the access road for 40 feet, police said.

Authorities said the doctor was treated at the scene for his injuries.
