Teenage driver crashes into pole, girlfriend injured

SAN ANTONIO – A teenage driver crashed into a pole Sunday night on the access road of loop 410 near Vance Jackson Road, leaving his girlfriend with a broken ankle, police said.

Police said the teenager was speeding on the access road when the car hit a telephone pole, went through a fence, ran over some bushes and hit a curb.

The teen's girlfriend, who was in the passenger seat, was trapped inside the car until the fire department freed her using the Jaws of Life.
