BCSO: Converse shooting possibly fueled by drug argument

Charges pending for 15-year-old victim

CONVERSE, Texas – New information has been released about a double shooting at an east Bexar County elementary school Friday.

Police said the shooting occurred shortly after 1 p.m. at Elolf Elementary School, where police found evidence of a shooting but no victims.

Police said the investigation led deputies to a home in the 8800 block of Staghorn Mill, where they found a 19-year-old man dead in the front seat of a car. The victim had been shot at least once, police said.

Police said a 15-year-old victim was found at Northeast Methodist Hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries were non-life threatening, police said.

Police said that at this time they believe the two victims may have shot each other during an argument over drugs.

Police said an autopsy will be conducted to determine a final cause of death of the 19-year-old, and charges are still pending against the 15-year-old boy.
