2 suspects in custody after Sunday afternoon shooting

EMS crew in area heard gunfire

SAN ANTONIO – Two men were taken into custody Sunday afternoon after a shooting on the city's Southwest Side.

Police found the pair in a house in the 1300 block of Keats Street around 2:45 p.m.

According to investigators, the men opened fire on three people near the 300 block of Elks Drive. No one was hit. The victims told police the men ran away after firing at least seven shots.

Police said an EMS crew responding to a separate call in the area also heard the gunfire.

Patrol officers found the suspects about half a mile away on Keats Street. The two men allegedly ran inside a home where they were eventually captured.

The male suspects were only described as Latino, in their late teens to early 20s.

As of Sunday night, there was no information on what charges they're facing.
