SAPD responds to NW Side home invasion

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department responded to a home invasion call Monday morning at the Ashler Oaks apartment complex on the city's Northwest Side.

A woman who lives in a ground floor unit said that she, her 77-year-old father, son, daughter-in-law and their baby were all inside the apartment when three men with guns barged in.

The woman told KSAT 12 the men ordered her and her father to the floor at gunpoint and demanded drugs and money. She said she told them they had the wrong house, and they left.

Police said when the robbers broke in through a sliding glass door, the woman's father suffered minor cuts from the flying glass.

Officers did not release a description of the robbers who reportedly were wearing masks.
