SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Zoo plans to throw a birthday party Saturday for two female Sumatran tiger cubs.
Even though Diana and The Royal Ja'Malle will turn 2, they're not so little. The cubs weigh over 100 pounds each, zoo officials said.

The celebration at 10 a.m. will include keepers presenting the birthday girls with fun toys for their special day.
There are fewer than 4,000 tigers in the wild today, zoo officials said.
Of these, fewer than 500 are of the Sumatran subspecies.
The zoo works with the Tiger Species Survival Plan to create a healthy captive tiger population as a genetic insurance policy for their wild counterparts.
