Ticketless payment option now available in city parking facilities

Drivers can swipe credit cards upon entering, exiting facility

SAN ANTONIO – The city of San Antonio on Friday launched a new ticketless parking payment system at city-owned parking lots and garages.

The system allows drivers to swipe their credit cards upon entering the facility instead of waiting for a paper ticket. The driver would swipe the card again when exiting to pay.

"We are committed to making our downtown parking facilities more user-friendly and this upgraded payment system helps us meet that goal," said Assistant City Manager Lori Houston. "The ticketless payment option is quick, convenient, reduces paper waste and more importantly means you never have to worry about a lost or misplaced ticket again."

Ticketless parking payment systems are now in place in the Houston Street, St. Mary's, Convention Center and Central Library garages, along with Dolorosa and Market Square lots.
