Thief hits ophthalmology office twice in 2 days

Suspect caught on camera stealing glasses

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio ophthalmology office has turned over surveillance footage to police after it was hit by a thief twice in two days.

David Bueno, who works at Medical Center Ophthalmology Associates, said a man walked into the clinic and took $6,000 worth of designer frames Thursday. He believes the same suspect stole frames from a second location.

"(The) guy noticed he was being watched, took frames and ran out. (There was a) car waiting for him," Bueno said, recapping the burglary.

He said the thief got away in a late 1990s Lincoln.
