Night of drinking ends with shooting, police say
1 wounded, 1 arrested in shooting on West Side
SAN ANTONIO – A night of drinking at a West Side home ended with a shooting early Thursday morning, San Antonio police said.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired at around 12:30 a.m. at a home in the 200 block of Jesse Avenue.
According to investigators, a group of people were together when two men got into an argument and one pulled out a gun.
The shooter fired and hit the victim in the knee.
Witnesses told police that the shooter fled in a gray minivan to a nearby home in the 100 block of Prosperity Drive.
Police found the suspect in a shed behind the home and arrested him without incident.
The victim was taken to University Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Police have not announced what charges the suspect will face.
