Police: Woman attacked by man with samurai sword

SAPD said attacker made pass at woman

SAN ANTONIO – A woman was hospitalized after a man attacked her using a samurai sword, San Antonio police say.

The event occurred Tuesday just after 9 p.m. in the 300 block of Gardina.

The San Antonio Police Department said the man was first making passes at the woman, but she turned him down. That's when he allegedly cut her several times using the sword.

Officers say the man then ran off. The woman injured was taken to the hospital but is expected to recover, police said. 

SAPD officials are still seeking the attacker.
