Man accused of selling items stolen from elderly woman

Cops: Travis Flowers stole diamond pendant, necklace, other items

A man is accused of selling items he stole from an 82-year-old woman he was supposed to be taking care of, authorities said.

Travis Flowers, 30, was living in the home with his girlfriend, who is the victim's granddaughter.

Authorities said the two were in charge of the woman and her husband, who is now deceased.

The victim's son noticed the items were missing.

Flowers is accused of stealing a diamond pendant, a necklace and other items. Police said he then sold the items worth more than $3,500 at a pawn shop.

When he eventually confessed, Flowers told police the girlfriend didn't know he took the items.

Flowers has been charged with theft of an elderly person.
