Body found Aug. 17 identified as that of a woman

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – The Bexar County Sheriff's Office has released new information in the case of a body that was found burned beyond recognition last week in the southeast part of the county.

The body was found by a passing motorist at 5:30 a.m. Aug. 17 in the 8200 block of South W.W. White Road.

Authorities were not certain at the time of the discovery whether the body was that of a man or a woman. The Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that the body was a woman and released details of what she was wearing in hopes of learning her identity.

The woman was wearing metal earrings, a metal necklace, a metal bracelet and a purple and white bracelet, the Sheriff's Office said.
