Organizers plan for severe weather ahead of Luminaria

Some installations, performances may be canceled

SAN ANTONIO – With severe weather predicted for this weekend, organizers at Luminaria are making modified safety plans for the annual event.

If San Antonio is under a severe weather warning at any time during Friday and Saturday's events, the outdoor installations and performances will be canceled.

“We are so proud to provide artists with a platform for creating new works. Unfortunately, we can’t control the weather, but we are dedicated to showcasing these innovative new works by our participating artists,” Luminaria executive director Kathy Armstrong said.

KSAT 12 will be monitoring the severe weather all weekend. Keep up with the latest from the KSAT 12 weather team online and on TV.

Luminaria will post updates to its website throughout the weekend.
