Man, woman caught on camera using stolen credit cards

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Police in New Braunfels hope the public can help identify a man and woman caught on camera in connection with a string of thefts at local gyms.

Investigators said a woman who was captured on surveillance footage is believed to have stolen a wallet around 6 p.m. Sept. 9 from a person at the Gold's Gym off Business I-35.

Police said she was captured again on camera 30 minutes later at a Best Buy and Target in New Braunfels, where she used the stolen credit cards to make thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges.

A man who was with the woman at both locations was also captured on surveillance footage. Police are seeking identifying information on both.

Police said the woman is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, of medium build, with olive-colored skin and long dark hair. She was wearing blue or black shorts and a shirt with a large floppy black hat. The man who was with her is described by police as a black man, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and of medium build. He was wearing white shorts, a white polo shirt, white shoes and a white baseball cap. The man and woman were seen leaving together in a late 1990s or early 2000s model white Dodge Caravan.

Comal County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.
