Woman bites officer, says she's HIV positive

Court documents say she told police to shoot her

SAN ANTONIO – Victoria Alvarado remains behind bars Monday after she bit an officer, then claimed she was positive for the human immunodeficiency virus.

According to an arrest affidavit Alvarado was resisting arrest last week. She told police she had a gun and they they’d “have to shoot her” before she went to jail.

One of the officers on the scene said he would only use a Taser on her. The court document continues that she pretended to follow orders, but then bit the officer on his left, only to claim she carries the HIV virus.

Alvarado faces a charge of assault on a public servant with bodily injury.
