SAN ANTONIO – Animal Care Services is throwing its annual Black Furday event this weekend. Anyone wanting a new furry friend can adopt one for free, restricted to all big dogs over 40 pounds and cats over 1-year-old.

Dogs 5 years old and older will have a reduced placement fee of $25. All pets are sterilized, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.

The event will be held at 4710 Highway 151 Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
