SAN ANTONIO – Rain caused a sewage spill in Northeast San Antonio, San Antonio Water System said Saturday.

Several manholes on and near Holbrook Road began overflowing overnight.

The water company did not disclose how much sewage spilled but did say in a release that crews are working to control the spill and that, “the volume triggered the need for the public notice.”

SAWS said no negative impact has been seen, but they are contacting private well owners and continue to monitor the area along Salado Creek.
