Police capture man wanted in far West Side shooting

Gabriel Sneed Pedraza, 21, charged with aggravated assault

SAN ANTONIO – Gabriel Sneed Pedraza, a 21-year-old man wanted in connection with a shooting on the far West Side, has been caught by San Antonio police. He was arrested Tuesday on a charge of aggravated assault.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that a 20-year-old man identified him as the person who shot him multiple times on Nov. 24. Police found the victim on the sidewalk in the 8500 block of Adams Hill Drive.

He told investigators Pedraza mentioned that he owed him money just before he fired the shots, the affidavit stated.

One day after the shooting, Pedraza was featured in a Crime Stoppers report broadcast by local media outlets, including KSAT 12 News. At that time, police named him as the suspected shooter.

There is no mention in the affidavit regarding how police tracked him down or whether it was through a tip they received.
