Woman arrested for September vandalism of car

Ashley Camacho, 21, allegedly damaged woman's car after fight

SAN ANTONIO – Ashley Camacho, 21, is accused of causing more than $4,000 in damage to another woman’s car after a fight at a North side hookah lounge.

A charge of criminal mischief was filed against Camacho Tuesday in connection with the incident, which happened Sept. 5.

San Antonio police said the 23-year-old car owner told them that she and Camacho had been involved in a dispute inside the Huff and Puff hookah lounge. She said soon after Camacho left, another patron asked her if she owned a black car, then notified her that someone was outside damaging her vehicle, an arrest warrant affidavit stated.

The car owner said she went outside and found the damage, which was later estimated at nearly $4,300.

The affidavit stated that a witness who knows Camacho identified her as the person who caused the damage. Police said they were told Camacho was seen driving away, laughing and insulting the car owner, the affidavit stated.

Detectives said they also found Camacho’s fingerprints on the damaged vehicle.
