Teen accused of robbing pair at Starbucks drive-thru

Victims told police they knew suspect from school

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Gabriel Weber-Martinez, 17, is facing a charge of aggravated robbery for allegedly holding a knife to the neck of a teenager who was in line at a Shavano Park Starbucks drive-thru.

An arrested warrant affidavit stated that the 17-year-old girl was in a car with another teen Oct. 17 when she rolled down the window to place an order. She told police she suddenly felt the knife against her neck and that the person holding it demanded money.

The affidavit stated that a teenage boy who was a passenger in the car got out and confronted the suspect, who lunged at him with the knife. He said he was able to wrestle the weapon away, but they continued fighting.

The teen said a second suspect got involved and together they beat him until a witness came to his aid.

The affidavit stated that the two suspects ran away, but the victims were able to identify the man with the knife as Weber-Martinez. According to the affidavit, both victims knew him from school.

A charge of aggravated robbery was filed against Weber-Martinez Thursday.
