Community mourns mother, 2 kids killed in car crash

SAN ANTONIO – A community came together Friday night to mourn the loss of three family members killed in a car wreck this week.

A mother and two of her kids are gone and a community is devastated. Monday, Perla Flores was driving her three kids, 11-year-old Jetly, 16-year-old Karelly and 13-year-old Jordi, in a Dodge Charger on Highway 57 when they hit a truck head-on about 20 miles east of Eagle Pass.

Jordi was the only survivor in the Charger and he's recovering at University Hospital in San Antonio.

Jetly and Karelly were both students at Somerset ISD schools.

"We sat next to each other, so it's hard to be there knowing that she's not going to be there anymore," said a friend who stayed home from school all week.
