SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Pets Alive is not only a mission to help homeless dogs and cats, but also now to raise even more money before the end of the year!
The plea for donations comes after a generous donor, who prefers to remain anonymous, offered to match any donation people make, at anytime in December, up to $50,000.
In essence every dollar donated by Thursday is a $2 donation.
The money will be used to take care of animals pulled off the euthanasia list at Animal Care Services and will also help Pets Alive continue its work with the tech and entrepreneurial community, which is looking to roll out some new programs for their kennel systems.
"We want a system on the kennel, a video system display that videos can be uploaded of the animals playing with kids, in home settings, so you can see (them) and you won't be, "I'm not so sure what this dog is like because I see him on the hard kennel floor," said Tommy McNish, chief operating officer, San Antonio Pets Alive. “But, this is how he or she would react with a family or out in the yard playing."
San Antonio Pets Alive is expecting its first video display to be in place in the coming weeks.
