Argument between neighbors ends in shooting

Victim hit in face with shotgun pellets in 5800 block of Stonybrook

SAN ANTONIO – An argument between neighbors ended in a shooting Wednesday afternoon on the city's Southwest Side.

San Antonio Police Department spokesman Douglas Greene said a man armed with a shotgun approached his neighbor, who was sitting on his front porch around 3:30 p.m. in the 5800 block of Stonybrook.

The armed man pointed the shotgun at his neighbor and then pointed it at a bicycle in the driveway and fired the shotgun, Greene said. Several shotgun pellets hit the neighbor in the face. He was taken to University Hospital in good condition.

The gunman fled the scene in a green-colored vehicle.

Greene said the men "do not get along."
