U.S. marshals arrest fugitive featured on KSAT-12

Jimmy Castro, 47, caught with help from tipster

SAN ANTONIO – Less than one month after a fugitive was wanted for a sex attack on a San Antonio girl, Jimmy Castro was arrested with the help of a KSAT-12 viewer.

The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force had been looking for Castro since August, when he was indicted for three counts of indecency with a child by contact.

Castro, 47, was featured on KSAT-12 Dec. 1. Then, Deputy Chris Bozeman said, "Castro had sexual contact with a female child after sneaking into her bedroom."

The alleged victim was under the age of 16.

Tuesday afternoon, members of the task force spotted Castro driving near Southwest 19th and El Paso streets. They surrounded his car in a church parking lot and arrested Castro. Bozeman said Castro knew there was a warrant for his arrest.

Castro was taken to the Bexar County Magistrate's Office, where he appeared before a judge on the charges. Castro was being held without bond Tuesday night.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is still looking for these wanted people:
