SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Water System is cleaning up a large sewage spill on the city’s Northeast Side.
The spill happened at the Salado Creek Water Recycling Center near Starcrest Drive and Wurzbach Parkway Saturday night.
Crews say a large intake of rainwater caused a 12-inch sewer main and a 36-inch sewer main to over flow.
More than 100,000 gallons of sewage was released into Salado Creek.
SAWS is monitoring the creek, but have not reported any impacts.
