SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio police officer was taken to a local hospital Tuesday after being in a traffic accident on Highway 281.
Police said the officer was driving in the left lane of southbound Highway 281 near Basse Road and the Quarry Market.
Police said the officer was hit by another vehicle that had been cut off. The officer lost control, hit the wall and spun out.
The driver that hit the officer was woman in her early 20s and is not expected to be charged.
The officer reported soreness in his arm but is expected to be OK.
