2 shot on city's East Side after disturbance

The shooting happened at Nolan and N. New Braunfels

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating why two people were shot near Nolan and North New Braunfels streets on the city’s East Side.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

San Antonio police said one of the victims, who is in his mid-30s, was shot in the leg, and the other man, who is in his 50s, was shot in his back and right arm.

Both were taken to the hospital.

A suspect has been detained, according to police. They said the man took off and crashed his car at Pine and Nolan streets. He was quickly caught by park police.

Police said the three men involved got into an argument at a tattoo shop an hour before the shooting occurred.
