Police seek information on Christmas Day gas station killing

Trayvouns Edwards, 28, fatally shot on SE Side

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are asking for the public's help in identifying several people wanted connection with the Christmas Day killing of Trayvouns Edwards, 28.

Edwards was shot and killed at a Citgo gas station on Goliad Road on the city's Southeast Side.

"When we arrived there we located one gunshot victim with a gunshot wound to the head and he was pronounced deceased at the scene," said Douglas Greene, of San Antonio police.

Police said Edwards got into an altercation with four black men and one black woman in the parking lot. One of the people pulled a handgun and shot Edwards in the head, killing him.

"The common denominator that we have here is that the black female suspect knows the victim and knows the suspects involved in the shooting. So there are a lot of questions we want to get answered. Was this a possible setup or not? We want to know what exactly the relationship was between the black female and the victim and the black female and the suspects," Greene said.

The four people now wanted by police fled in what appeared to be a dark-colored, four-door Toyota Tundra (pictured above).

"This victim’s life was taken on Christmas Day. From this day on every time his family celebrates Christmas they also have to remember how their loved one was tragically taken from them," Greens said.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
