SAN ANTONIO – The Department of Defense said Sunday an airman died in Qatar while supporting Operation Freedom's Sentinel.
Maj. John D. Gerrie, 42, of Nickerson, Kansas, died Jan. 16, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, in a non-combat related incident.
