Downtown hotel shuttle driver stabbed

Man accused in stabbing arrested

SAN ANTONIO – A downtown hotel shuttle driver was cut Tuesday morning while trying to fight off a man who police said robbed her.

The Wyndham Hotel shuttle driver told police that she was getting ready for her shift when a man approached her and told her to hand over her cash and jewelry.

The woman tried to fight him off but she ended up getting cut. She was taken to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man took off with the woman's cellphone and jewelry. A man was detained by police but since he couldn't be positively identified as the robber, he was released.

The incident was reported around 10 a.m. in the 200 block of Dwyer.
