Police seek suspect in early morning stabbing

Incident occurred just before 2 a.m. on McCullough Avenue

SAN ANTONIO – A search is on for a man responsible for an early morning stabbing, the San Antonio police said Thursday.

The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. on McCullough Avenue near East Mulberry Avenue just north of downtown.

Police said two men were walking when the victim was stabbed in the shoulder. The victim was taken by EMS to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said the suspect ran from the scene and is a man in his late 40s or early 50s wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans and a beanie cap.

The investigation is ongoing.
