Man with baby shoplifts from H-E-B, runs from police

The man ran about two blocks from he was caught by police


SAN ANTONIO – A man with a baby is accused of running from San Antonio police officers Sunday morning after shoplifting from an H-E-B.

The incident happened at the grocery store on East Houston Street and New Braunfels Avenue around 11 a.m.

Officers on the scene said when they spotted the man he took off running, pushing a stroller with a baby in it.

The man ran about two blocks before he was caught by police.

Police said they believe the man stole twice from the same store.

The man, who has not been identified, has been charged with theft and child endangerment.
