Family still pleading for answers 4 years after double murder

San Antonio Police still have no suspects in cold case from 2012

SAN ANTONIO – The families of a San Antonio couple murdered four years ago is still clinging to hope. It's a case that San Antonio Police say has stumped them.

A cross made of flowers blows in the wind on Fresno Road and Interstate 10, marking the scene of a murder case that's gone cold.

"Every day it gets harder and harder. Our life has just been hell ever since that happened."

Valerie Coronado stands where her youngest sister Connie Reynosa and Connie's boyfriend Jessie Rodriguez were gunned down four years ago.

On Feb. 10, 2012 Connie Reynosa and Jessie Rodriguez left  Stacy's Sports Bar on Blanco. Police said they got into their car in the parking lot and took off towards Fresno.

"Supposedly somebody just opened fire on them and we just don't understand why. There's no kind of answers whatsoever so far."

The couple had a friend in the back seat of the car who was also shot, but survived. Coronado says he could never identify a shooter.

"No kind of suspects or anything so far," she said.

She said she contacts the detective on the case every month but in four years, there's been no news. It hurts most thinking of Connie's two children.

"They're already 8 and 6 years old now. The little boy remembers his mom and asks us about his mom all the time and it's hard. What do you tell a child at that age what happened to their mother?" Coronado said, shaking her head.

That's why her family won't give up.

"Everybody is familiar with everybody in this neighborhood and I know somebody knows something out there and all we want is justice," Coronado said.
