2 men arrested minutes after robbing bank

Robbers hit Frost Bank branch at noon hour

SAN ANTONIO – It did not take San Antonio police long to round-up two men suspected of robbing the Frost Bank in the 11900 block of Blanco Road Friday afternoon.

“A suspect went inside the location, presented a note demanding money and fled the location,” according to San Antonio police Sgt. Justin Good.

Witnesses told police that the man dashed to a waiting car and sped away.

The first officers to arrive broadcast a description of the vehicle and suspects and quickly realized they didn’t get far.

Just 10 minutes later and a couple of miles away the pair was arrested.

“As officers were working the quadrant in the area one of them spotted what they believed to be the suspect vehicle,” Good said. “We went ahead and made a traffic stop on the vehicle and detained the folks inside.”

The pair was taken to police headquarters, questioned by robbery detectives and booked.
