Man arrested in December homicide on Southeast Side

Alfred Angel Eslora, 26, arrested Wednesday in Pleasanton

SAN ANTONIO – An arrest was made Wednesday in a nearly 2-month-old homicide on the city's Southeast Side.

Alfred Angel Eslora, 26, was arrested at a home in the 400 block of Cactus Road in Pleasanton by members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

Eslora was sought in connection with the Dec. 20 shooting death of Gilbert Rodriguez in the 400 block of Montrose Street in San Antonio.

Officials said Eslora allegedly shot and killed Rodriguez in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Reports said that the two men had been fighting before the fatal shooting.

Eslora also had unrelated warrants involving felon in possession of a firearm, assault and DWI.

Jesse James Leal, 39, was also arrested on unrelated warrants involving aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and parole violation for manslaughter.
