Woman on motorized scooter hit by vehicle

Victim was taken to University Hospital for her injuries

SAN ANTONIO – A woman on a motorized HEB scooter was hit by a vehicle, San Antonio police said Thursday.

The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. on the city's Northwest Side.

Police said the woman had just left the HEB located on West Avenue and Hildebrand Avenue using the motorized scooter after injuring herself inside the store. 

The woman was headed home in the 1500 block of West Hollywood Avenue when a driver backed into her before driving off police said.

The woman was taken to University Hospital for her injuries but is expected to recover.

The year and model of the vehicle in question have not been identified.
