SAN ANTONIO – A Holmes High School student was arrested Thursday morning for possessing an air soft gun, a school district official said.
Northside Independent School District spokesman Pascual Gonzalez said the 18-year-old senior was confronted around 10:30 a.m. by district police. He was removed from a classroom and arrested.
Airsoft guns are replica weapons that fire pellets and other spherical projectiles.
A concerned student alerted school officials about the airsoft gun.
The student arrested will be charged with disorderly conduct and faces a range of punishment from suspension, expulsion or assignment to alternative high school, Gonzalez said.
