East Side drug bust yields arrests of 3 suspected gang members

Sheriff's Office executes bust after months of planning

SAN ANTONIO – Three people were arrested Friday afternoon in an East Side drug bust months in the making, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

The bust went down around 1:30 p.m. as members of the narcotics unit took down a home on Belinda Lee Street near Sam Houston High School and Davis Middle School.

The Sheriff's Office said it arrested William Lewis, 50; Morris Dukes, 34; and Telophus Yates, 40. Investigators believe the men are members of the East Terrace Gangsters, also known as the ETG gang.

Deputies also obtained 9 ounces of crack cocaine, about $5,400 in cash, two assault rifles, two semi-automatic weapons, magazines for the guns and two vehicles.

Lewis, Dukes and Yates will be charged will possession with intent to deliver and felon in possession of a firearm.

The Sheriff's Office said Converse police assisted in the bust.
