SAN ANTONIO – A 35-year-old man was injured in a drive-by shooting Friday morning on the city's East Side.
Police said the man was shot twice in his left side just after 9 a.m. on Bellinger Street. He then ran to Corliss Avenue, which intersects Bellinger.
He was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center and is expected to be OK.
Witnesses have been uncooperative with investigators, police said, but did provide a description of a suspect vehicle. Officers are looking for a silver or gray Buick.
A San Antonio police helicopter was called in to search for the vehicle but has not yet found it.
Police have not said if the shooting was gang-related.
Police said Friday's shooting is the third time officers have responded to the area since November. Investigators said they believe it's part of an ongoing feud because the incidents are almost identical. The other two drive-bys were on Saturday mornings.
