New Braunfels PD seeks tips in credit card theft case

Man makes $2,500 in purchases at Creekside Shopping Center

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – The New Braunfels Police Department is seeking the public's help to identify a man who stole credit cards and used them to make fraudulent purchases.

Police said between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 4, a man stole two credit cards from a patron's wallet at the Gold’s Gym in New Braunfels.

Within 30 minutes, the man made three transactions worth $2,500 at stores in the Creekside Shopping Center that were captured on surveillance video.

The man is described as an African-American in his mid to late 20’s who is over 6 feet tall. He was wearing black athletic-style clothing and a black hat featuring an Atlanta Falcons emblem.

He was seen leaving the shopping center in a black late-2000’s model two-door Cadillac CTS with dark-tinted windows.

Comal County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the man's arrest and/or a grand jury indictment.
