Officials search for man on 'most wanted sex offenders' list
John Albert Gover convicted of indecency with a child by sexual contact in 2009
AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the capture of a man who was added to the Texas 10 most wanted sex offenders list.
John Albert Gover, 40, is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender, police said. Gover is a Hermandad de Pistoleros Latinos gang member.
Officials said Gover's last known address was in San Antonio. In 2009, he was convicted of indecency with a child by sexual contact in Bexar County after an incident with a 12-year-old girl.
Gover's criminal history also includes robbery, deadly weapon in penal institution and burglary of building.
Gover is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has tattoos on his arms, back, chest, wrists, left ankle, left hand and right leg.
He has previously used the alias of Mike R. Gonzales.
Texas Crime Stoppers is offering cash rewards to any person who provides information that heads to the arrest of any of Texas's 10 most wanted fugitives or sex offenders.
