Teen shot after argument over dog

Victim was taken to University Hospital in serious condition

SAN ANTONIO – A teenager is in the hospital following a shooting over a dog on the city's West Side, San Antonio police said Thursday.

The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. in the 500 block of Jamica Drive, found near Hunt Lane and Loop 410.

Police said the 17-year-old teenager was arguing with the suspect over a dog at the time of the shooting.

The victim was taken to University Hospital in serious condition.

Police said the suspect fled the scene in a silver sport utility vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
