SAPD: Man stabbed during suspected drug deal
Victim taken to SAMMC in serious but stable condition
SAN ANTONIO – A possible drug deal gone wrong puts a man in the hospital overnight, San Antonio police said Monday.
The incident was reported just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of East Commerce Street, found directly downtown.
Police said a couple was likely trying to buy drugs when the dealer attempted to rob them.
That's when, police said, it appears the couple both pulled out weapons and stabbed the victim in his chest and hand.
The injured man called for help from a local hotel downtown.
He was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
Police are now looking for the couple.
The investigation is ongoing.
