2 arrested after bank robbery on city's SE Side

Suspects arrested two miles from bank

SAN ANTONIO – Two people were arrested Saturday in connection with a bank robbery earlier in the day.

Just before noon, police said a woman walked into the BBVA Compass Bank in the 1000 block of Goliad Road and handed the teller a note demanding money.

Waiting outside was a man in a gold SUV.

Not long after police arrived at the bank, nearby officers found a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car at a home in the 400 block of Clark Avenue.

Police surrounded the home and eventually made entry, but no one was inside.

Police arrested two suspects about a block away.

Police could not confirm if the home on Clark Avenue belonged to the suspects. They also said they are investigating whether there are additional suspects.
