The shooting occurred just after midnight on May 12 at the Nairobi Bar, found in the 500 block of North Hackberry Street near East Houston on the city's East Side.

Police said Wendel Borise, the victim, identified Henderson as the man who shot him as he walked out of the bar. Borise told police he believed the shooting had to do with a debt, but the arrest affidavit said Henderson is the one who owed the money.

Borise was shot in the stomach and taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

The arrest affidavit said Borise and Henderson had known each other for roughly five years.

Henderson's bond is set at $100,000.
