Man charged with murder in stabbing death of father

Neighbors report that father, son arguments were common

SAN ANTONIO – A man was arrested Tuesday night, accused of stabbing his father to death on the city's North Side.

Police responded to a duplex in the 12200 block Ridge Crown after neighbors reported hearing two men arguing and seeing who had been injured.

Officers found the 61-year-old victim stabbed multiple times in the chest. He died at the home.

Inside the home, officers found and arrested the suspect, James Donnelly, 36.

Officers said they have been called to the home before.

Police did not know why the men were fighting or what led to the fatal attack.

Donnelly is charged with murder.
