BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Firefighters were called to the Bexar County Jail overnight, fire officials said Friday.
The incident was reported around 1 a.m.
Authorities said the electrical fire was contained to an elevator.
Jail employees put out the flames with a fire extinguisher before fire crews arrived, firefighters said.
No one was hurt and no evacuations were needed in the incident.
