BURKBURNETT, Texas – A Texas woman accused of punishing her stepchildren by burning their tongues with a lighter and making them drink a concoction that caused them to vomit faces more charges.
Sara Woody, 24, faces nearly 30 abuse charges.
Burkburnett police Detective Donald Osborn said Woody also made the two boys lick dirty toilet rims.
Osborn said the case began in March when one of the boys was brought to a hospital with an injury.
Woody was held Friday at the Wichita County Jail on a $3 million bond. Her husband, Jonathan Woody, 34, is facing four charges and is also being held.
Burkburnett is located north of Wichita Falls on the Oklahoma border.
